D.C. #20: Wilf-o'-the-Wisp

Chris has returned from the 2017 World Championships, and has tales to tell!

He and Johno break down the predictions from the last episode and see just how correct - or indeed incorrect - we all were.

Thanks once again to Ben "beyoken" Ni, Dave "cerberus" Hoyland, Laurie Poulter, Seamus Macleod, Dave "rotage" Saiya, Alice "shanodin" Rees, Catherine Underwood, Scott "spags" Pagliaroni and Alex "vinegarymink" White, who provided predictions for what would be seen at Worlds.

As a reminder, the categories were:
- Winning Corp identity
- Winning Runner identity
- A Top 4 player
- Worst (non-mini) faction
- Best mini faction and finishing position
- More US or non-US players in the cut
- Winning corp's deck sleeves colour
- A 1-of in either of the winning decks
- Number of beanies worn on stream during the cut
- Bold prediction

D.C. #19: Precognition

The 2017 World Championships are almost upon us!

Johno and Chris briefly discuss the banned/restricted list after being struck by the podcasters curse, and having major news break immediately after a release.

Then they move on to the difficult task of predicting what we'll see at Worlds! There are multiple categories that require their predictive talents, and they've even drafted in some community members to give their input too: Thanks to Ben "beyoken" Ni, Dave "cerberus" Hoyland, Laurie Poulter, Seamus Macleod, Dave "rotage" Saiya, Alice "shanodin" Rees, Catherine Underwood, Scott "spags" Pagliaroni and Alex "vinegarymink" White!

Stay tuned as the categories get more ridiculous culminating with the Bold Prediction category! If you're interested in making your own predictions to compare after, the categories are:
- Winning Corp identity
- Winning Runner identity
- A Top 4 player
- Worst (non-mini) faction
- Best mini faction and finishing position
- More US or non-US players in the cut
- Winning corp's deck sleeves colour
- A 1-of in either of the winning decks
- Number of beanies worn on stream during the cut
- Bold prediction

We finish with "Turntable", a very fun feature that may never return! Johno has found five songs that share song titles, artist names or even album names with Netrunner cards. Join Chris in an attempt to work out the cards being hinted at. It's Name That Tune... Netrunner style!

We mentioned the Full Immersion podcast at the end of the episode, maybe a good choice for any long flights you have coming up! It's an actual-play RPG story set in the Android universe, and you can check it out here: http://neoreadinggrid.co.uk/fullimmersion/.

D.C. #18: Rebirth

Dead Channel returns! We'll be less strict with the "click" structure of episodes going forward, but hopefully we'll still be a good listen.

Johno and new regular co-host Chris "nemamiah" Dyer are excited by the prospect of rotation and the revised core set, and discuss some of the ins and outs, and what we can expect from the brave new world.

Editor's note: This episode was recorded before the announcement of the updated Most Wanted List and its bans and restrictions. We'll discuss these changes in our next episode so stay tuned!

D.C. #17: Viper

Johno is joined once again by special guest co-host and world champion Chris "nemamiah" Dyer! They start off by whipping through Station One, the second Red Sand data pack, picking out some of the more interesting cards. Then they chat about the fallout of the new Most Wanted List and the likely direction of the meta in a meta snapshot update. In click 3, they chat about the "Snek draft" that has been running in the UK community and has proven interesting to take part in and spectate. Finally, they finish off with a particularly dumb game.

After the meta has been ever-so-slightly entirely changed by the release of a new Most Wanted List, it's only fair to get a meta update, and with Chris in the house, what better time? Chris gives his thoughts on the new MWL, and gives a meta forecast (scattered showers of chaos, followed by a cold, glacier front moving in from purple/red)

Recently, Chris has been involved in a so-called "Snek draft" a special format (run by Ben Ni) that involves the entire card pool being drafted, NFL style, for exclusive use, and the eight players try to build viable decks from only the cards they drafted (and the undrafted). Chris takes us through how he made his decisions in each round, and how building a deck in this format is really interesting and enjoyable.

D.C. #16: Panic Button

The NAPD have been hard at work, chasing down leads and putting the squeeze on informers, and they've identified the new threats we face on the net. That's right, a hot new multi-tiered Most Wanted List has landed, and Johno and Joey slam the Panic Button to bring you their immediate reaction.

We spend all four clicks discussing the new influence "levels" and the ins and outs of the list itself, as well as some cards that could be conspicuous in their absence.

D.C. #15: Quest Completed

Adventure is on the cards in this episode! We strike out for our first taste of Mars with a Daedalus Complex Mandatory Draw, then we discuss training Johno's young padawans. In click 3, we explore Shaper events through the medium (hey that's a card!) of art alone. Finally, we go totally off-track and talk about the Legend of Zelda - particularly the latest instalment Breath of the Wild - in a Chatterjee University. It's dangerous to go alone! D.C. #14: Anonymous Tip

We call on our friends from both high and low places in this episode. First, we chat to reigning World Champion Chris "nemamiah" Dyer for a quick forecast of where the meta is right now, and what decks you should expect to face in competition. Then Johno breaks down the "Dyper" archetype with none other than Dyper-In-Chief David "rotage" Saiya. We crack out the thesauruses for a quick game, and then get spoopy with a chat about FFG's newest LCG, Arkham Horror: The Card Game.

D.C. #13: Retrieval Run

Returning from our January hiatus into the midst of Store Championship season, we have quite a few things to catch up on! Two data packs were released, so we squeeze out the highlights of both into a mandatory draw, then we recap the tournaments we attended over the last month and a half, and the direction the meta has taken in that time. We finish with a fun game in which we discover that Weyland assets are in fact incredibly forgettable.

Warning: If you are not a Slack user, you can probably duck out when we hit our final category, "Best Meme", as it will be almost entirely meaningless to you. Even better, you could JOIN THE FUN!

Click 1: News Now Hour - 00:02:42

Terminal Directive has been announced! It will be a campaign-style expansion which contains new cards, and more interestingly, a new way to play Netrunner, and we are fascinated! Johno and Chris speculate on what we will see, and what we hope we'll be getting when we inevitably get it.

D.C. #4: Quality Time

Epsiode 4 is here! Firstly, we accidentally chatted for ages, like twice as long as usual. Sorry. We will try and keep it shorter in the future. Buy we aren't making any promises. We are a slave to the creative process and whatever chaff comes out of our mouths when the mics are on.

Secondly, this was recorded before all the new updates (FAQ/Tournament etc), and so please excuse all the talk of NEH dominance and how great Wyldside is.

So join us for a look at Fear the Masses, a Game Day with a difference as we swap runner decks for a GNK, a lengthy discussion of alternate tournament structures (teams anyone?) and our attempts to up-sell the Sysops!

Finally make sure to check out the UK branch of the ANRPC, known as BABW. Satellite tournaments start up soon (including in Reading in September) with a chance to play in the finals and win a trip to Worlds!

Click 3: Brainstorm - We build a deck suggested by a listener

As requested by local click-obsessive Dave Saiya, we attempt to build a runner deck with the sole objective of getting as many clicks as possible. It got crazy. There are detailed steps in the deck description, which also correct a couple of minor mistakes we made while recording (oops!)

Always Be Clicking (decklist)

"Utter nonsense" - Dave Saiya, Dyper Innovator

Click 4: Sinister Bottom

More recording from the Expo and once again we are joined by the wonderful Run Last Click peeps. We play another silly game.

D.C. #2: Expo Grid

"... tuned to a dead channel."

We are at the UK Games Expo! And with us in Johno's hotel room/studio we have a whole range of guests include 2014 UK National Champion and 2014/2015 world's top 4 player Dave Hoyland, 2015 National Champion Alex White, and the wonderful Chris, Eady and Catherine from Run Last Click (link for anyone who doesn't already listen to Run Last Click - hint: you should).

We talk expo regional tournament, and then play some games!

For the masochists among you we have 10 minutes of chat about intentional draws with Dave and Alex that didn't make the show. But if you are interested in that sort of thing - you can listen to it here (totally unedited so be prepared).

Click 3: Sales Team - We take an interesting look at all the game's A.I. icebreakers! And do a poor job of convincing each other how great they are.

Click 4: Film Critic - We attempt to guess cards from selected reviews from NetrunnerDB, with a reasonable amount of success!
